Tomorrow, May 27th we'll be meeting at Mestizo Coffee House

from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Anyone that is planning to run for GPUT office in June is required to attend at least one coordinating committee meeting. This is the last meeting before the convention, so this is your last chance.

I took a minute to reflect on that, and just wanted to share some personal thoughts. This is the end of our "political year". And what a year it has been. It has been a pleasure to help build the Green Party of Utah to what it is today. It wasn't easy. We started with just a couple of members. We worked our butts off to get Jill Stein on the ballot last year. Many of us attended meetings and bootcamps to teach us how to organize and be active in our political scene. We were a group of people who had no idea what we were doing, we just knew that we had to something. We taught ourselves how to build a website, how to handle campaign finance, how to network, how to organize people. It's hard. We're not like republicans and democrats, we wont follow in their footsteps. And so we are forging an entirely new path. A different kind of politics, the kind that puts people before money. So next month at the convention, as we start a brand new political year, I hope that we see every single person who wants to see a change in Utah politics.
