UPDATE, December 29, 2023: The Elections office confirmed receipt of the GPUT list of oficers and bylaws and will issue their final determination if all requirements have been met for the GPUT to be officially recognized as a Utah political party the first week in January. The GPUT met the March 1, 2024 deadline months in advance to be able to achieve this recognition.

UPDATE, December 21, 2023: The Lt. Governor issued a certificate of recognition of the signature threshold being met for political party status in Utah.  We will be completing our list of officers and bylaws as the final steps for official recognition.

December 15, 2023: The Green Party of Utah (GPUT) submitted 2,928 signatures on November 30, 2023 to regain ballot access for 2024. This was more than was needed to achieve the required 2,000 signatures of valid, registered Utah voters.  As of December 15, we were excited to learn in a phone call with the Elections office that the GPUT has met the requirements! We are on the ballot in 2024!  More information will be forthcoming upon receipt of the formal letter from the Lt. Governor's Office.

Greens are grassroots activists, environmentalists, advocates for social justice, nonviolent resisters and regular citizens who’ve had enough of corporate-dominated politics. Government must be part of the solution, but when it’s controlled by the 1%, it’s part of the problem. The longer we wait for change, the harder it gets. Support the Green Party of Utah. Vote Green!
